Nuggets of Delight

Thought I would do a scatter-shot of stuff that’s happening in my world.  That way you don’t have to waste time reading about stuff you don’t care about.    You can be all like: Ugh…who cares about his books?…and then skip onto the next thing.  You see how I do that?

I do it for you.  I do it ALL for …

In Which Some Stuff Happens…

Ah, Sunday.  You’ve caught me again!  It’s insane how quickly time is going by.  My parents used to tell me that it only goes faster every year and I’ll be dashed if they aren’t right.  I’ve got some bit-sized chunks of fun stuff to share, so let’s get down to it, shall we?

Jacob Alexander Troupe – The Big One…

Something Old, Something New

So, in between revising GOODHALO (I know…just get it DONE already) I’ve been finishing up the 4 book series I’m doing for PICTURE WINDOW BOOKS tenatively titled LEGEND HAS IT.  It’s the books for lil’ kids about vampires, werewolves, Bigfoot and the Bermuda Triangle.  They’ve been loads of fun, but I was really itching to do SOMETHING in the fiction …

The Tale of Two Kingsleys

So, yesterday was pretty much a fantastic day. I know there’s nothing more irritating than hearing someone else is having a good time, especially if it coincides with you (or those you love) NOT having a good day, but so it goes.

Yesterday, I got to go out to Red Wing, Minnesota to take part in the 10th Anniversary Celebration …

Tiny GOODHALO Excerpt & Update

“Your bravery surprises me, Pious,” Hurvick said. “But our fates are in the hands of the gods.”

“Their hands are full,” Pi replied, which made Lasha gasp.

From GOODHALO, by Thomas Kingsley Troupe

So, that’s what I’ve been doing friends. Working FEVERISHLY on the revision and overhauling of my little zombie book, GOODHALO. I’m on a mission to trim this …

48 Hour Film Project – 2009 – PART 1 (Friday)

Greetings! (echo, echo…)

Well, it’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since High School Drifter was shot and shown at the Riverview Theater, but it’s true! I’ve been busy this last month getting ready for this year’s showdown and last night with about 4 minutes to spare, we got our newest film completed and turned in to compete …

Where You Been, TKT?

Friends of the Interwebsticles,

It’s been a murderous few weeks…nay, month or so. I won’t regale you with the details but they include:

– A weekend of being Mr. Mom (while Laura was sick with some evil flu)
– Editing ANNA 2.0
– Helping my uber-talented critique partner get her book ready for prime-time
– Work craziness
– Organizing our …

Writing Round-Up

Well, it’s New Year’s Eve and while I’d love to do a retrospective ‘Year that Was…’ I ain’t gonna. At least, not yet. In the meantime, I’m all giddy about some writing stuff. First and foremost…

GOODHALO II – Is done! It’s done, done, done! Well, at least the first draft anyway. It’s length shattered any previous records held by …

Mission 100,000

Hey Tappers!

I’ve got a mission for myself this weekend and I’m thinking it’s possible. I want to hit the 100,000 word mark on GOODHALO II before I head back to work on Monday. I’m just over 5,000 words from that happening.

“But TKT, you usually kick out huge numbers word-count wise. What’s the haps?”

Here’s the thing: Ever since …
